The Main motive of this organisation is to increase the efficiency and effectively increase the custom administrations all over the world.WCO has been playing a major role in the development of the inernational trade and this day is observed to promote on efficient customs environment in the world.
Why International Customes and Excise Day is on january 25th?
The date is chosen because of the fact that the first meeting of CUSTOMES COOPERATION COUNCIL now known as WORLD CUSTOMS ORGANISATION(WCO) was held on the same day this body came into enforcement in 1952 and the first Meeting wass held in 1962
Every year WCO will announce one theme
